Jennifer Lopez appeared to have suffered a wardrobe malfunction as she presented the honour for Best Costume Design and Best Make Up with Cameron Diaz at the 84th Annual Academy Awards. The 42-year-old actor, whose Zuhair Murad couture gown featured a plunging neckline and cut-out
sleeves, has polarized opinion from bloggers, fashion critics and commentators.

“I’ve always loved fashion since I was a little girl. I enjoy playing dress up. I grew up in the Bronx, my style was very kind of street and hip-hoppy. I still have a little bit of that, it evolves,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying on the red acrper.

Jennifer Lopez suffered a nip slip at the Oscars

Though the gown has received some praise, mainly from correspondents on the red carpet, it didn’t go down well on social networks.

“I bet Jennifer Lopez is furious that they didn’t have a chance to finish her dress before she had to present,” one critical Twitter user said.

However, another user was more complimentary and complimented the ‘Monster-in-Law’ star’s sense of style.

“No one uses tape on a dress like Jennifer Lopez. The tape gods have to be pleased. Absolutely gorgeous!” the other user said.

Though unconfirmed, the Huffington Post reported that Lopez also suffered a wardrobe malfunction while presenting with Cameron Diaz.

“Where is the worst place to have a wardrobe malfunction?” the website wrote.

“It was barely there – let’s call it the nip slip that wasn’t -- but Lopez almost had an embarrassing moment while presenting an Oscar on stage with Cameron Diaz. Her low-cut dress was stunning, but perhaps she should have made sure she was taped in there a little better,” it added.
