CM launches grievances redressal portal for NRI's

The Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal today launched a dedicated Punjab Police NRI grievances redressal portal to ensure ‘online’ solutions’ to the Punjabi Diaspora regarding police department.
 
“The NRIs will be able to lodge their complaints while sitting at their home
abroad through this portal www.nripunjabpolice.com. These will be duly registered and inquired upon before a status report can be forwarded to the complainant in a time bound manner,” Inspector General of Police (NRI affairs) Gurpreet Deo revealed during her presentation during Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan here on Saturday. 
 
“We will also provide online legal solutions to the NRIs about their issues,” She quipped, adding that portal would be made interactive in coming days bedsides being informative on various legal aspects.
 
“A high level joint committee of senior cabinet ministers under his chairmanship and representatives of NRIs will deliberate upon the issues thread bare so that the consensus emerged at this august forum can be bring to logical end,” Badal announced. He asked deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal and Majithia to have regular interaction with him to ensure implementation of these decisions in a time bound manner. “I stood by every word which I promised with my NRI brethren,” he said, amidst thunderous applause.
