B.Senna
For years, Bruno Senna raced karts against his uncle, Ayrton, on the family farm in Brazil, but he didn't make his competitive race debut until he was 20 years old. In January 2012, Williams confirmed Senna as a race driver alongside Pastor Maldonado. GP2 was Senna's important stop on the career ladder, in 2007. He finished fourth on his debut in Bahrain and scored his first win in the feature race in Spain at the following event. He signed for iSport International in 2008 and claimed his first win of the season in the Monaco feature race. In total Senna claimed two wins, six podiums and three pole positions in GP2, narrowly missing out on the title. He also tested for the Honda F1 team in the autumn of 2008, just before the manufacturer pulled out of the sport. In 2009, in a bid to maintain race fitness, Senna turned his attention to sports car racing. He secured two podiums from three Le Mans Series races, as well as taking part in the Le Mans 24 Hours. Towards the end of this season he announced a deal to race with the HRT F1 team in 2010. Senna started the 2011 season as official reserve driver for Renault. He competed in eight races after replacing Nick Heidfeld from the Belgium Grand Prix onwards, qualifying seventh in his first race. After qualifying inside the top ten again at Monza, Senna secured his first F1 points with a ninth place finish.

F1 Pundit
The 'bonkers' business logic of Formula 1 teams

The primary goals of any normal business are to be successful in its field; to add value to the company; and to make a profit. Other strategic goals include building a brand, becoming the market leader or expanding the business into new areas. Joe Saward writes.

F1 needs America to complete global jigsaw

If all goes to plan, this will be a big week for Formula 1 as it returns to the United States for the first time in five years. F1 has failed to break into the US market in the course of the last 30 years, having blown the foundations that were built at Watkins Glen and Long Beach in the 1970s.
