After India and the US, it will be the turn of Pakistan to bring perpetrators the 26/11 attack to justice but the country’s attitude so far is uninspiring. “Pakistan has not arrested all accused of the 26/11 carnage. Lashkar-e-Taiba military commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi was arrested
but another top operative Muzammil was mysteriously let off. Sajid Mir is also out trying to mount new attacks on India. Former Pakistan army Major Abdul Rehman Hashim alias Pasha and LeT patron Hafiz Mohammad Saeed roam freely. The list is endless,” said a security source.

“Even the US officials told Pakistan that Lakhvi is using a phone in jail but nothing happened,” said another source.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) wants voice samples of all accused and evidence collected against them by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) of Pakistan. India also wants to send a team of NIA investigators to Pakistan. The Centre has sent a reminder to Pakistan. According to MHA source, a judicial commission from Pakistan had visited India to record statements of witnesses. “The commission didn’t cross-examine the witnesses as it was not part of terms of visit. Then Pakistani court refused to accept the report of the commission. Pakistan wants to send another commission to cross-examine witnesses,” said the source.
