Actor John Abraham talks about the importance of grooming, even for macho men. Being in the visual medium, I have realised the importance of looking good. So I try to educate men by saying that there is no harm in taking care of your skin and your face.
My skin as a teenager: I had lot of
pimples on my face and due to this, I used to shy away from people. Then, I did not even dare looking into the mirror.
My skin care routine:
I use a good face wash; it has a certain molecule that exfoliates the skin. I also take care of my skin by working out regularly and drinking lot of liquids to keep myself hydrated. When I am shooting, I have to be on the sets and stand below harsh lights for 12-18 hours a day. I use a good moisturiser to avoid dry skin patches.
Look good to feel confident:
When you look good, you feel confident. It is high time men start grooming themselves. It not about just looking good so that you can attract the opposite sex; but it is also about health and hygiene.
The metrosexual man:
A metrosexual man is one who takes care of his body and cares to look good. Often, people think that if you are macho, then you are not metrosexual. But being macho does not mean being tattered and rugged all the time. As much as we talk about being macho, we need to be well turned out.
