Karadi has released two books, Little Vinayak and The Lizard's Tail, both narrated by Vidya Balan and written by Shobha Viswanath, Creative Director, Karadi Tales.
They’ve enthralled kids for generations with their titles that focus on Indian stories. And now, to keep up with Gen Y, the entire catalogue of the popular Karadi Tales book series is soon set to be available on the iPad as well.

“Each of the titles has a thought-provoking story structure
that lets kids learn from it. They emit emotions and values to children,” says Shobha Vishwanath from Karadi Tales Company that has now launched five new talking book titles — When the Earth Lost Its Shape, The Moustache Man, The Dancing Bear and the most adored Dorje’s Stripes.

Karadi talesWhile Dorje’s Stripes and Dancing Bear are stories with powerful messages about ecological responsibility, When the Earth Lost its Shapes is a simple, heartwarming tale about team spirit that introduces children to the world of shapes. Whose Lovely Child Can You Be? is a tender story about the wonderful experience of having an adopted child in your life and The Moustache Man is a hilarious tale with a subtle message about how things are not always what they seem to be.

If that’s not all, to encourage new talent, the company is also asking interested people to send in matter that can be published. Vishwanath says, “People are welcome to send in stories which Karadi will consider. We constantly encourage fresh voices.”
Karadi Tales is a series of talking and picture books created to recreate the joy of Indian stories for children. And to add to their already existing catalogue, the company hopes to launch five more titles in November.
