Wind power equipment-maker Suzlon Energy on Thursday said it has bagged an order from state-run Hindustan Petroleum Corp for supplying turbines for the oil company's 25.5-MW project at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. "Suzlon Energy has won an order from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL)
for a 25.5 MW capacity wind power project at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan," the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

However, the company did not specify the financial details of the order.

The project comprises seventeen 1.5-MW wind turbines and is scheduled for commissioning by the end of 2010, it said.

Oil marketing firm HPCL has forayed into non-conventional energy and plan to implement a 100-MW capacity wind farm in phases.

Shares of the Suzlon Energy were trading at Rs 58.75, up 1.03 per cent on the BSE.
