Hotel heiress Paris Hilton has joined the rank of intellectuals like Confucius and Oscar Wilde with her philosophical musings which have been made a part of the Oxford
Dictionary of Quotes.

Her take on life, "Dress cute wherever you go, life is too short to blend in", will stand alongside words from world famous thinkers and philosophers, reported Daily Mail online.

The reality TV star's words are among the 20,000 new quotations to enter the seventh edition of the prestigious tome including US vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin's infamous quote, "What's the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Lipstick."

Others come from the likes of Stephen Hawking, Aung San Suu Kyi and US president Barack Obama who found a place in the dictionary's 65th edition with the line, "The arc of history is long but it bends towards justice."

"Anything quoted today, verbally or "written" in electronic-form, can be and probably will be encountered by people all over the globe. The new edition of the dictionary reflects the impact of these changes," said the dictionary's editor-Elizabeth Knowles.

Hilton who is best known for her wild lifestyle and a leaked sex tape may have reacted to the good news with another of her favourite catch phrases, "That's Hot".

The blonde beauty had earlier sued greeting card company Hallmark for using the catch phrase without her permission.
