Lalit Modi finishes his concluding speech as IPL chairman, making an emotional appeal to millions of cricket fans worldwide about his innocence.

1:10 am

Modi receives a show-cause notice through email from BCCI secretary N. Srinivasan, followed by another email notifying his suspension from board president Shashank Manohar.

1:18 am

The BCCI sends a press release on behalf of president Shashank Manohar confirming Modi’s suspension.

1:30 am

Modi makes a hasty exit from the Dr DY Patil Sports Stadium, offering ‘no comment’ to hordes of scribes who mob him for an all-important byte.

8.30 am

Security officials at Four Seasons hotel, where Modi stays, inform that he has asked the hotel staff not to disturb him till 12.30 pm.

9.15 am

Ratnakar Shetty reaches BCCI office. The Board's CAO is not an IPL governing council member, but it was later learnt that he is given the duty to look into all records and recover documents missing from the BCCI and IPL office.

9.20 am

BCCI president Shashank Manohar, secretary N Srinivasan and IPL vice chairman Niranjan Shah arrive together in one car. All three are IPL governing council members.

9.30 am

BCCI joint-secretary Sanjay Jagdale arrives for the meeting. IS Bindra joins him. The latter is believed to be a strong Lalit Modi supporter.

9.32 am

Television commentator and IPL governing council member Ravi Shastri reaches BCCI office. He enters through the back gate to avoid being mobbed by shutterbugs.

9.34 am

Sunil Gavaskar makes a hurried entry. He is hounded by photojournalists, but maintains his calm.

9.45 am 

MAK Pataudi arrives. Walks into the BCCI office coolly despite the frenzy of the shutterbugs.

9.50 am:

Arun Jaitley reaches the meeting. Like Shastri, he takes the backdoor to slip into BCCI office.

9.53 am

Chirayu Amin shows up. The governing council member was later appointed an interim chairman of the council.

9.55 am

Rajiv Shukla becomes the last governing council member to arrive for the meeting. Farooq Abdullah and MP Pandove fail to turn up for various reasons.

10.00 am

The meeting starts.

11.50 am

The meeting gets over. Minutes later, Arun Jaitley leaves the BCCI office to catch a flight to Delhi.

12.10 pm

BCCI president Shashank Manohar and secretary N. Srinivasan address the media.

12:45 pm

I.S. Bindra enters Four Seasons lobby. The veteran administrator avoids the media and heads straight to his room.

12.50 pm:

The media conference ends. Most of the GC members had left the office by then.

4.00 pm

IS Bindra leaves the hotel. Unlikely that he has checked out, though.

4.30 pm

IPL Chief Operating Officer Sundar Raman, who earlier arrived at the Cricket Centre at 11 am before making a quiet exit, leaves Four Seasons hotel.
