Cricketer Yuvraj Singh on Tuesday thanked American cycling legend Lance Armstrong on Twitter for the message wishing him a speedy recovery and offering him all the support from the "Livestrong" group.

"I want you to know that the entire LIVESTRONG team is here for you. We
say it all the time, and truly believe in it: Knowledge is power, Unity is strength and Attitude is everything," the message from Armstrong said. He signed off the message with an encouraging "Go Yuvi."
On Tuesday morning Yuvraj had tweeted "Message from @lancearmstrong makes me feel better ! Thank you lance means a lot hope we can meet." He also tweeted a photograph of the message Armstrong sent him.
The 31-year-old flamboyant batsman is undergoing chemotherapy for a rare germ cell cancer in the US. Doctors have assured the player that he will be rid of the rare germ cell cancer and can get back to playing for India.
Lance Armstron himself has fought stage three testicular cancer inspite of the odds being stacked against him, and went on the win Tour de France a record seven consecutive times inspiring many cancers patients around the world.
The Livestrong wristbands launched in 2004 as a fund raising item by Armstrong's cancer foundation was a big hit worldwide, and went on to be a fashion statement by itself.
Earlier on Friday, Yuvraj had expressed his desire to meet Armstrong himself and get inspired by him.
