It’s Saturday night fever with a difference. Fifteen months after they last played each other, India and Pakistan will attempt to breathe life into a sluggish Champions Trophy when they face off in Centurion. The stakes are always high for an Indo-Pak game but this time, with
India aiming to keep the No. 1 ranking, the pressure is bound to be on them. Then there’s the fact that the last time they met in the Champions Trophy, in Edgbaston, Pakistan edged past them.

Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, though, said they weren’t looking at Pakistan as a “different side”. “If we did that, we would put pressure on ourselves,” he said. “When you take the field for any game, you want to win”.

But he sounded a note of caution. “We know Pakistan can be a dangerous side.”

With Yuvraj Singh and Virender Sehwag missing, India will be depending on Tendulkar, Gambhir, Dravid and Dhoni to get the runs.
