Once great buddies, Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan are apparently at loggerheads today. Reason: Khan refused to be a part of Dutt's next home-production to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film is a desi remake of the 1984 Hollywood blockbuster Ghostbusters.
Apart from Khan, the film
was expected to topline Dutt and Riteish Deshmukh.
The reason behind Khan's refusal is best known to the actor but Dutt is not amused.
A source close to him informs that when Sohail Khan was making his debut opposite a new girl, Sameera Reddy, in Maine Dil Tujhko Diya back in 2002, it was Dutt's presence in the film that brought in the buyers and the viewers.
"Despite a packed schedule Sanjay made time for Maine Dil Tujhko Diya and his presence was extensively promoted because Sohail was finding it tough to sell the film," says the source.
What's more Dutt charged the Khans only a token amount for working in the film. Obviously, Khan's doesn't believe in repaying favours.
Dutt is busy completing his backlog of films. He intends to start work on his Ghostbusters towards the end of the year.
