Though they would not offer Mexico’s famous guacamole, they do offer sizzling hot salsa — spicy enough to blow your
corks off. Tricity’s first true Mexican hangout is a no-nonsense, eat-make merry-leave sort of a place, complete with life-size paintings and sombreros as wall adornments. And might we add, the lighting is perfect for your social-networking site pictures.
Their menu consists of basic Mexican offerings — tacos, quesadillas, nachos, burritos, burrito bowls. While the tacos come in both, soft and crisp variants, all offerings have vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
You know how you’ve been all around Chandigarh and haven’t found that perfect bowl of nachos to crave after? The bowl offered here can safely be added to your midnight-craving list, albeit the restaurant closes at 11 pm.
If you’re not a fan of spice though, make sure you mention your preference while placing the order. They do have mild, medium and fiery spicy salsa options. What’s even more fantastic about their nachos is that their tortilla chips are made in-house, right from scratch. So, don’t fret going around town, looking for a replacement.
The fresh crispiness of the chips, coupled with warm Mexican red beans, cheese, salsa and veggies is a safe indulgence.
Another item that you must oh-so-absolutely lust after is the quesadilla (pronounced minus the ‘LL’) — flour tortilla, filled with cheese, corn, veggies, and more cheese, contrasting amicably with three types of salsas.
As for dessert, the place has recently introduced flan (or caramel custard, if you may). Definitely worth a try. Though we would have liked to see Chandigarh taste some churros finally. Never mind the calories!
