No respite from heat wave in Punjab, Haryana

There was no let up in the heat wave sweeping Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh with maximum temperatures on Sunday hovering around 44 degrees Celsius at many places.

Chandigarh witnessed yet another scorching day, with hot winds forcing many people to restrict themselves indoors.
Blistering heat prevailed in Ludhiana, Patiala, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Moga, Gurdaspur and other towns in Punjab.
In Haryana, Hisar, Gurgaon, Bhiwani, Ambala, Narnaul, Panchkula and Rohtak were among the towns that experienced sweltering heat conditions.
