A five-month-old foetus was found on Daba road on Thursday evening. The foetus was spotted by some passers-by who sounded the police.
According to passers-by, they saw some dogs tearing apart the foetus.
The Daba police have registered a case against an unidentified woman in
this context and have sent the foetus to the civil hospital for a post-mortem examination.
According to SHO Jatinder Jit Singh, the foetus seemed to be five-month-old and was tattered. Its gender would be ascertained in the autopsy.
He said this was the seventh such case in past two months in the city.
