Ali Hatfield (@AliHatfield), one of the runners of the Boston Marathon became a twitter trend on Monday as she tweeted real-time about the twin blasts at the end of the race. A Mussourie resident, she was in Boston to participate in the marathon. She also tweeted reassurances to her friends and
followers about her safety and well-being.
What caught attention of the twit-verse was her tweet about how a Boston local offered her help by offering food, drinks and freshen up.
Help has poured in for the victims and participants of the race from everyone including locals to restaurants in the area. People are tweeting using #bostonhelp to extend support to survivors.
