Karan Johar is an unhappy man lately. After all his dream of casting Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor together in Shakun Batra’s directorial debut
Short Term Shaadi has been put on hold!
Apparently Khan and Batra, who were once buddies, can't see eye to eye anymore. The
reason being? Believe it or not, it's all over the title of the movie.
Incidently, Khan, who knew Batra since his Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na days, recommended Batra to Karan Johar.
Buzz is that the entire team had initially agreed to title the film Short Term Shaadi but Batra backed out at the last minute. This did not go down too well with Khan who had heavily endorsed the title.
Confirming incident, Johar told Spicezee, “Yes, Shakun didn’t like the title Short Term Shaadi. It was only a working title in the first place. Imran and my writer Ayesha were kicked about Short Term Shaadi. But Shakun would hear none of it. We at Dharma go completely by the director’s vision. So we’re hunting for a new title now.”
Does this mean Khan has lost the battle? Only time will tell.
