Dupatta sarongs and embroidered kurtis

Beachwear in the monsoon comprises of a variety of wraps, tunics, crinkled skirts in splashy colours and bright, printed dupattas used as sarongs. A lot of people are also slipping on embroidered ‘kurti’ over
swimsuits or a cotton jacket to ward off the chill. Naturally, crushed clothes look best on the beach.

Azeem Khan:
Sunflower yellow and vibrant reds
This year, beach fashion is stylishly feminine and distinctively individualistic. The colours this season are bright fuschia, sunflower
yellow, vibrant reds and classic black.

Pria Kataaria Puri:
Chiffon kaftans and funky flipflops
Printed kaftans in chiffon and cotton jersey, thigh to ankle length in greens, corals, turquoise blue and yellow are in. They can be teamed with big sunglasses and bigger hats, Funky flip-flops and sandals, chunky bracelets and rose clips. Also, don't forget the sun block.

Swapnil Shinde:
Gypsy ruffles are pretty and feminine

Prints, stripes, gingham checks, polka dots and plaid, you can go with anything. Gypsy ruffles look pretty, feminine and slim you down on a one-piece swimsuit. Kaftans and tunics are good cover-ups over 1950s  style, vintage, high-waist shorts and rompers, and Betty Paige bikinis.

Lina Tipnis:
Black-and-white bands and nautical stripes

2O10 Swimwear is all about nautical stripes, animal and graphic prints and solid colours like electric blue and canary yellow topped with black and white bands on iridescent lycra. Vibrant orange and fuschia works well with the teen brigade while the adjustable slide-cup triangle bikini top is great for a well-toned body that can carry off a low-rise bottom, a high-cut thigh and stringy tie-ups. Off-shoulder swimwear is in vogue, with a braided tie-up or a metal hoop, flexi glass fastening.

Multi-hoop or crystal detailing at the mid-riff add glam to private yacht parties. Beach cover-ups with peacock feather, reptiles prints and floral graphics add a sensual touch.
