High School Musical star Zac Efron would love to do a role in the sequel to comic hit The Hangover. The actor moved away from his Disney roots with 2009 drama Me
and Orson Welles
, and this year awaits the release of his fantasy film "The Death and Life of Charlie St.Cloud" but the 22-year-old wants his next role to be more light-hearted, reports accesshollywood.com.

"(A role in The Hangover sequel) would be amazing. I think that they're amazing and I love the cast that they've got going on," he said.

Writer-director Todd Phillips is busy working on a follow-up to the comedy and is set to start filming later this year. And actor Ed Helms admits Efron would be a welcome addition to the cast.

"I love that guy. He's actually really funny," said Helms.
