'Govt working against provisions of Companies Act'

The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has accused the state government of working against the provisions of the Companies Act, by making book adjustment of Rs. 405.73-crore subsidy to the agricultural sector. It has asked the government to roll back the move.

Haryana rolls back govt doctors' pay cut order

Making a complete U-turn, the Haryana government on Tuesday decided to continue with the earlier mechanism of calculating non-practising allowance (NPA) for government doctors. Chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Tuesday said there would be no change in the system and the quantum of NPA admissible to doctors.
