Idea, a mobile telecom service provider, will donate the revenue it will earn between 8.30 p.m and 9.30 p.m on November 26 to the government “in support of its initiative to strengthen the national security”. Last year, terrorists fired first bullet in Mumbai at 8.30 p.m on November
26.

“The campaign is designed to raise funds to aid the internal security forces ... by mobilising millions ... on November 26,” Sanjeev Aga, MD, Idea Cellular, told the HT.

Idea will launch its campaign, ‘Talk for India Hour’, from Sunday night on TV and radio. The firm has 50 million subscribers. On a normal working day, it earns a revenue of about Rs 3 crore during the hour. Aggressive campaigning is expected to push up revenues.
