A Delhi court today refused to hear the interim bail plea of Vinay Kumar, one of the accused in the December 16 gang rape case, saying it has “no jurisdiction”. Kumar wanted bail to appear in an examination.

Facing cross-examination for the third day, the woman investigating officer who had initially probed the December 16 gang-rape case, on Thursday refuted the allegation of the accused that the victim’s friend was brought to the police station to see them so that he could identify them later.

Tihar Jail authorities today filed a complaint in a fast track court in New Delhi alleging misconduct and gross violation of rules by one of the December 16 Delhi gangrape accused who in turn claimed that jail officials are regularly beating him up.
