A Delhi court today refused to hear the interim bail plea of Vinay Kumar, one of the accused in the December 16 gang rape case, saying it has “no jurisdiction”. Kumar wanted bail to appear in an examination.

Tihar Jail authorities today filed a complaint in a fast track court in New Delhi alleging misconduct and gross violation of rules by one of the December 16 Delhi gangrape accused who in turn claimed that jail officials are regularly beating him up.
With the trial in the Delhi gang-rape case "almost 90% complete", the court verdict is expected to come by the end of May, Delhi Police commissioner Neeraj Kumar said.
