Within Reach-IV is a group exhibition in its fourth year and is a show of affordable artwork by established as well as emerging artists.

The art works are in varied genres and mediums — paintings, drawings, serigraphs, sculptures and installations.

Artists whose works being shown are Ajay Kumar Chowdhary, Anil Soni, Apet Pramod Mahadev, Arpana Caur and others.

The show is mainly targetted at young collectors and corporate buyers.


Healing touch

Here is a chance to discover your strengths and experiment new ideas in a workshop that explores a range of movements, from Kathak, ballet to modern dance forms.

It’ll take you through a process of evolving an independent movement vocabulary.

The workshop will be followed by a film screening, a documentation of dance classes for people with Parkinson’s disease.

A powerful adaptation of the famous novel and film ‘One who flew over cuckoo’s nest’, narrates the story through a protagonist who is admitted into a mental asylum.

The play directed by Feisal Alkazi, who himself was a professional counsellor, explores the treatment meted out to schizophrenics and brings out the clash between the system and the individual.

A melodious selection of jazz and soul titled ‘Someone to watch over me’ will enthral you this Sunday.

The singer Sanjeeta Bhattacharya is cementing her reputation as a versatile artiste.

The young singer has just finished her schooling from Delhi, and will be accompanied by acclaimed pianist Aching Shaiza.

They will be joined by guest singer Brett Hanson from the United Kingdom, known for his musical theatres.

An English documentary film The Human Factor, takes you through a journey that goes beyond legendary singers, music directors, lyricists and looks at the unseen and un-credited musicians of Indian cinema.

Looking at a subaltern history of Bollywood, the film tells the fascinating story of the Lords, a Parsi family of musicians who collectively worked for over 60 years in Mumbai’s film orchestras.
