Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh would launch the Kshipra purification drive which will commence from June seven next. Saint pravar Pandit Kamal Kishore Nagar would lead thousands of villagers in the cleanliness drive, an official release said here on Tuesday. The chief
minister also discussed with the authorities of KDTIW Purification Trust about the activities to be taken up, it said adding, Pandit Nagar suggested digging in wells in the low-lying area of the river and setting up of artificial fountains for the devotees to take the bath.

The state government is making all efforts to ensure that the devotees take bath from the holy Kshipra waters, Singh said and added that sanction has been given for construction of about 11 stop dams from the origin of Kshipra to Ramghat.
