A terrorist was killed and a civilian injured in militancy-related incidents in Udhampur and Poonch districts where security forces busted a militant hideout since Friday, official sources said in Jammu.
A militant was shot dead during an operation by security forces in Gool area of
Udhampur on Friday, the source said, adding that one AK rifle with its two magzines and 20 rounds of ammunition were recovered from him.
In another incident, a civilian was injured in cross firing between militants and security forces in Sanglani area of Poonch during the period. He was later hospitalised, the sources said.
Security forces, during the search operation in Ranka area in Doda, came across a militant hideout and recovered from it one universal machine gun, one radio set and some clothing, they said adding the hideout was later smashed.
