Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi has said the Rs. 235 crore Kelo irrigation project near Raigarh would be made on a turn-key basis like Hasdeo-Bango irrigation project.
"To complete the work early and within the specified period, the construction work will be carried out under turn-key basis like the Hasdeo-Bango project," Jogi said at a function at Puser block, about 300 kms from here, on Monday.
Following delay in clearance from various departments, it has been decided to carry construction in two phases and on completion of Phase-1, 92 villages of Raigarh district will be benefitted, he said.
The project, "Indira Gandhi Sagar Pariyojana", has been named after late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
Irrigation Minister Sakrajit Nayak, meanwhile, said the project will benefit 34,815 hectare land area, covering 192 villages and several industries of Raigarh for supply of water.
