Veteran Tamil film comedian of yesteryears, VK Ramasamy, died at his residence here around noon following renal and other complications, his family said.
He was 76 and is survived by wife, four sons and three daughters.
Ramasamy had acted in nearly 500 films in his more than five decades of film career. He had acted with several top heroes of yesteryears like late MG Ramachandran, late 'Sivaji' Ganesan.
He was admitted to a private hospital more than a month ago following a fall in his house. After discharge from there, he was admitted to the Government General Hospital more than a fortnight ago. He was discharged from the ICU only last evening, hospital sources said.
