Pope Benedict XVI’s first book of interviews since being elected in 2005, will come out “before the end of the current year,” the Vatican’s spokesman Federico Lombardi said. The interviews, conducted in German by journalist Peter Seewald, were carried out between July 26-31 at the Pope’s summer
residence in Castel Gandolfo near Rome.
Since his election, Pope Benedict has written and published in 2007 Jesus of Nazareth, a book on the life of Jesus Christ between his baptism and his transfiguration, an episode in the Bible when Jesus shows his divine nature.
