Donning a crisp ironed shirt, with not a hair out of place, you walk in for an interview but all in vain as your would-be bosses have already seen your party pictures gyrating with a group of girls.

Consequently, you see dreams of a perfect job shattered. But if reports are to be believed, a
proposed privacy law in Germany would make it illegal for would-be employers to look at a candidate's Facebook page before deciding whether to hire them.

Privacy has become a big issue in Germany as lawmakers are trying to deal with alleged privacy violations of Google's Street View service. Working on this issue, new strict regulations will make it illegal for employers to spy on their employees.

FacebookThe proposed law will also protect workers by banning video surveillance in private areas like rest rooms, cafeterias and changing rooms. It will also make it mandatory for employers to make employees aware of any on-site cameras.

So go ahead and party wild without jeopardizing your prospective job offers!
