A rocket fired by militants kills one person and wounded five people in the Afghan capital early on Monday, police said.

This is the first rocket attack on Kabul over the past several months that has claimed a life. No group or individuals have claimed responsibility.

Government officials often blame such attacks on Taliban militants, who staged a violent comeback three years ago. Militancy and conflicts have claimed the lives of more than 1,100 people this year in Afghanistan.
