Railway stations, bus depots, airport and IT installations on Saturday, continued to be under intensive security scanner, a day after a series of low-intensity bomb blasts rocked the city. Security was beefed up at all key installations and all entry and exit points to the city were under
tight police vigil, police sources said here.

Police squads remained deployed at various crowded areas of the city, some of which were targets of yesterday's terror strikes.

Several multinational and leading national firms located in the city took precautionary measures, including close scrutiny of visitors to the campus.

Various sensitive points in the city, identified by the police, remained under constant scanner of police teams throughout the night following the blasts.

Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa yesterday announced that the police would maintain a constant vigil and a 24-hour monitoring system has been put in place to prevent any further untoward incident.

Home Minister Shivraj Patil said in New Delhi that two persons were killed and 12 injured in the string of nine synchronised low-intensity bomb blasts which rocked the IT hub during the busy lunch hour on Friday.
