The Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express had trouble before it started its journey from the railway station here, official sources said. The Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express was not allowed to move for about 40 minutes at the starting point by a local political outfit Kalinga Sena
protesting against alleged irregularities in recruitment of Group-D staff in East Coast Railways.

The train which was scheduled to start its journey at 9:05 am, finally left the platform at 9:45 am.

Demanding a CBI probe into the alleged recruitment irregularities, the protesters squatted on the track.

They, however, withdrew after the railway authorities assured the agitators that their grievances would be looked into.

"We demand a CBI probe into the recruitment in Group-D. While the candidates were waiting for the result of the earlier examination, the East Coast authorities started recruitment in Group-D," said the outfit president Hemant Rath.
