Amitabh BachchanVeteran Bollywood actor Om Puri's biography, written by his journalist wife Nandita, will be released by Amitabh Bachchan on November 23.

The biography Unlikely Hero: Om Puri was at the centre of a controversy with reports suggesting that Puri was upset with his wife for making public his relationship with various women in the book but the actor later blamed the media for sensationalising the issue.

Nandita told PTI that the decision to invite Bachchan to release the book was taken two months ago. "Bachchan and my husband have high regards for each other. When I asked Om whom did he feel should be invited for the release function, he said he could not think anybody else but Amitabh Bachchan," she said. "Even Bachchan said it was his honour to do so, when I met him," Nandita added.

However, she refused to comment on the controversy that broke out following release of some contents from the book, saying, "Mr Bachchan is too dignified and gracious to be affected by such things."

Bachchan and Puri were last seen together onscreen in Govind Nihalani's Dev. Big B alsoshares a good bond with Puri's young son Ishaan.
