Bruce SpringsteenThe musical journey of American singer Bruce Springsteen is set to be penned as he has reportedly stepped into a writer's boots quietly working on an autobiography.

Also known as The Boss, Springsteen has already been the subject of a few bios' written by his unofficial historian David Marsh, say reports. However, insiders have put high hopes on the book, even though there is no manuscript yet.

"It could be the biggest rock music autobiography of all time. He could get $9 million to $10 million for the world rights," said one insider at a major publishing house.

The Born in the USA hitmaker who celebrated his 60th birthday recently, has stacked up voluminous journals throughout his career that will serve as the basis for the book.

If the book comes to life it is expected to surpass the $8 million advance scored by Rolling Stone's Keith Richards from Little Brown and the $4 million advance that Broadway Books paid to Eric Clapton.
