During the formative years of the rock band Rolling Stones, the band’s greats, Sir Mick Jagger and Keith Richards lived in an untidy flat and the two rarely had a bath.

The two were classmates and in the early years of the band, they shared an apartment that the Richards often referred to as the ‘beautiful dump’.

The book Brian Jones - Straight From the Heart, written by Gloria Shepherd about the band’s late founder, revealed that Sir Mick and Richards ‘preferred to put up with the stench from their own bodies’.

“Mick had this habit of lifting his arms above his head and sniffing his armpits - and he'd say, 'Hmmm, manly,” New York Post quoted Jones, as recalling.

Brian Jones was a founding member, lead and rhythm guitarist and backing singer in the English rock group. Jones was fired from the band in June 1969 and accidentally drowned in his swimming pool only weeks later.

However, it is still said that that Jones was murdered.
