Cheryl Cole is said to be considering getting a divorce from husband Ashley.
Their marriage has been left in tatters over claims Ashley, 29, had secret sex sessions with a secretary
after exchanging hundreds of sordid texts.
And the Girls Aloud singer is believed to have told pals to call her “Cheryl Tweedy, not Cole”.
“He’s pushed her to the limit. She’ll never be able to forgive Ashley for his stupidity. She’s in bits and feels totally humiliated,” the Daily Star quoted pal as saying.
“It’s the hardest decision Cheryl’s ever made because she loves Ashley, but he just keeps letting her down.
“The last few days she’s been keeping herself busy concentrating on her BRITs performance. Now that’s over she’ll deal with him and sort out her future,” the pal added.
Cheryl is said to have made up her mind after turning to mum Joan Callaghan, 50, and pop guru Simon Cowell, 50.
It is believed that Simon has offered Cheryl, 26, his Barbados villa as a refuge.
A friend said: “Simon has never been Ashley’s biggest fan and he’s suggested Cheryl gets some space away from him.”
Now, she is planning to jet off with her mother before consulting lawyers over the divorce battle.
She is believed to be considering hiring Fiona Shackleton, 54, who represented Sir Paul McCartney, 67, and Madonna, 51.
