He may hate love stories but he certainly loves animals! Actor Imran Khan is planning to set up a home for stray animals in Panvel. He had even adopted a male Labrador puppy last
year.
A source told Mid Day, "Like his uncle (Aamir), Imran loves animals and has grown up around them. Imran tracked down the owner of the puppy who didn't want to keep it anymore and took it to his own home in Pali Hill at Bandra. And now, he wants open an animal shelter for strays in Panvel and is exploring various options on how to go about it."
The young lad, who has two dogs and three cats at his Bandra bungalow, told the tabloid, "Yes, I have land in Panvel which I'm developing as an animal shelter. The aim is to be able to take care of any kind of animal, and I want to have a vet on staff permanently. As of now, I'm funding it entirely by myself, but I'm hoping to tie up with a larger organisation so that I can expand further."
"My family has always had pets and we've always rescued animals. This is just an extension of that," adds Imran.
