Senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar on Sunday objected to AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa's demand that the details of Priyanka Gandhi's meeting with Nalini, a convict in the Rajiv Gandhi Assassination case, in Vellore prison last year be made public. "I think Jayalalithaa should apply
to the world Intellectual Property Rights Organisation and take patent for the nonsense she had spoken," he told a TV channel.

He said Priyanka's surprise visit to the prison was to meet Nalini on personal grounds, to understand the worst tragedy in her life, and her compassion could be compared to that of Jesus Christ and Mahatma Gandhi.

Jayalalithaa, who had been opposing the LTTE, had yesterday demanded that the details of Priyanka Gandhi's meeting with Nalini be made public.

"Who permitted the meeting? What transpired during the meeting? Public should know the details," she told an election rally at suburban Pallavaram falling under the Sriperumbudur Lok Sabha constituency, where former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated by a LTTE suicide bomber in May, 1991 in an election meeting.
