India's Pragyan Ojha (L) celebrates with his team mate VVS Laxman after dismissing West Indies captain Darren Sammy during the second day of their first test cricket match in New Delhi.
The impressive return of left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha into the Test cricket with a haul of six for 72 in the first innings against West Indies at the Ferozshah Kotla stadium at Delhi did not surprise his father Maheswar Ojha in New Delhi.

“After being out of national reckoning for about
one year, Pragyan was waiting for an opportunity to prove his mettle. He did that today,” a beaming Maheswar told reporters.

“We hope he will repeat similar feat in the future as well. He was, a bit, under pressure after being overlooked.

I had advised him not to dishearten and wait for the right opportunity. When the opportunity comes, utilise it properly,” he said. Pragyan’s last Test appearance was against New Zealand at Nagpur In November 2010.

Meanwhile, ecstasy pervaded the frenzied fans who glued on to the TV to watch the Odisha lad finish off the visitor's innings with aplomb. Fans burst crackers amidst unabated clapping to celebrate Ojha’s maiden six wicket haul who restricted the Caribbeans to 304.
