Gandhi My Father gearing up for release in a few short weeks, producer Anil Kapoor is all praise for actor Akshaye Khanna.
Akshaye Khanna plays Gandhi's eldest son Harilal Gandhi in the film that deals with the personal and private life of the father of the
nation.
And Anil Kapoor, who makes his debut as a producer with this movie, says that the Khanna was definitely the perfect choice for the role.
"He is born to play this role. You have to see it to believe it, the kind of work he has done," Anil Kapoor said.
Kapoor also revealed that he had decided to take up the mantle of producer for this film because he was "really moved" by the script.
"It really moved me. I felt that this film should be made. That's the reason, I have produced this film," he said.
Also starring in the movie alongside Akshaye Khanna will be Bhoomika Chawla, Shefali Shetty and Vinay Jain.
The movie, which hits theatres on August 3, has been directed by Feroze Khan, who also co-wrote the script alongside Chandulal Desai.
