Anil Ambani's truce offer to elder brother Mukesh found support from industry body Assocham's new President Swati Piramal, who said she wished to see the two brothers patching up. "I think no family wants to have anything going wrong... we hope and pray," she said when asked to comment on
the Ambani battle.

She said the Indian industry would like to see the two brothers come to an amicable settlement.

Anil Ambani had on Sunday reached out to Mukesh through a statement that he wished to sort out all disagreements in a constructive, cordial and conciliatory manner and said that this could be done within weeks.

RIL, while calling it as "a positive change in the negative, calumnious and malafide campaign launched by Anil Ambani group against RIL," asked him to demonstrate his intentions through actions.

RIL and Anil Ambani group firm RNRL are locked in a court battle over supply of gas from RIL's KG-D6 gas fields. The Supreme Court is set to start final hearing on the matter from October 20.

"I think all the industry would want that (truce between the Ambanis)," Piramal said.
