Australia’s World Cup bowling hero Glenn McGrath has said he enjoyed every minute of his battles with Sachin Tendulkar and hopefully "Sachin enjoyed every now and then too." In an interview to CNN-IBN, he described Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara as "standout players" and the
"best batsmen in the world".

He also claimed a slight edge in the battle against these two great players, calling it 55-45 against Tendulkar while 51-49 against Lara.

Against a batsman like Sachin, you tend to lift your game a little and "I felt I did", said the highest wicket-taker in the history of the World Cup.

"I have had some success and there have been days when Sachin has had some success." However, McGrath said his biggest battles came against Lara. "I got him out quite a few times and there were some days when he scored some big runs. I remember a couple of double hundreds. That was the biggest battle that I ever faced. Some days I walked away with his wicket and other days he got me."

McGrath also praised Dravid and Laxman and commended the latter for playing "some pretty good series".
