Kingfisher Airlines to continue association with IPL

The Indian Premier League on Monday announced that Kingfisher Airlines would be the official travel partner for the the second edition of the Twenty20 event commencing in Cape Town, South Africa on April 18. As the IPL's airline and travel partner, Kingfisher would extend its hospitality
to not only all the teams and players but also offer IPL fans in India the opportunity to travel to South Africa to root for their favourite teams, a media release said.

IPL Chairman and Commissioner Lalit Modi said Kingfisher's decision to extend the association with the League was proof that the tournament is being followed globally.

Chairman and CEO of the airlines, Dr Vijay Mallya, said, "This extension of our agreement with the DLF Indian Premier League is further testimony of our commitment to Indian sports".

IPL 2 is to conclude with the final at Johannesburg on May 24.
