Complicating the matters further for suspended Indian Premier League commissioner Lalit Modi, Income Tax officials are investigating his link to an alleged payoff to the World Sports Group (WSG), a Mauritius-based company as facilitation fee.
The IT officials are probing Modi's link to an
aircraft deal, used by the former IPL boss for his own use.
However, so far, reprots say that Modi has not shown any signs to cooperate in the investigation. Some of his close aids are being probed into the matter.
Modi is allegedly being investigated after I-T officials realised a link to the Rs. 425 crore facilitation fees paid to WSG by Multi Screen Media (MSM) for media rights of IPL matches.
