While Karrena's role in Madhur Bhandarkar's next film has already been buzzing Bollywood, the word is out that the role the sultry actress plays will be based on the life of Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe.

A website reports, Hollywood beauty is the inspiration for the role.

A source was quoted, “Madhur has always been fascinated by Marilyn Monroe’s life. He has wanted to make a film on her since a long time, but things did not fall into place. Now, he is completely ready with the subject of this new film."

Reportedly the director has done a lot of research on the actress. Also that he approached Kareena to play the lead role only when he was sure that he could translate every aspect of his research into a story.
