Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan finally makes his entry in an unconventional role in Chak De India. He plays a hockey coach for a girl's team in the sports-drama that hits the theatres this Friday.
The premiere of Chak de India was one of the highlights of India at a three-month season celebrating the 60th anniversary of Indian Independence in which over 200 London’s cultural organisations are participating, including the British Museum and V&A. The open-air
screening of the film with 2000 capacity-full audience was preceded with a Champagne reception where the media and VIP invitees interacted with film’s hero Shah Rukh.

On why the film described as a patriotic one, was premiered in London, so close to Independence Day, he said, "I think its wonderfully ironic, your talking about Indian patriotism in England. It has its own strangeness to that, irony to that. Other than that patriotism doesn’t mean that we don’t like other countries. We say our country is nice and its really nice if we can talk about our country in another country.”
