Now-a-days decor of the wedding venue has become as important as the trousseau of the bride. Wedding décor stylists say having innovative themes, artistic structures, artificial
water bodies, chic lighting and exotic flowers have become must-haves for the wedding venues.

Say ‘I do’ in style
Says décor stylist Swati Pandya Sood, “A lot of attention is being paid to ceilings by decorating them with glass, onyx and wallpapers. In fact, art canvasses are going to be big this year. The Zen look (bamboo and pebbles) is also popular.” Sood says, “The cabanna look with Italian furniture, leather furniture and some foot rest is catching up.”

For the jaymala ceremony, one can create an artificial water body with an over bridge. The guests can stand on round platforms in the water body and shower flower petals on the couple.

Comfort for all
Interior designer Aanchal Gulati Nath says, “The very Indian look of organza and zari is completely out and replaced by the Mediterranean look, which is completely white with hookahs and wrought iron candle stands.”

Be creative
Dot the corners with scented aroma oil candles.
Decorate the venue with lot of small containers with stone finish that give the impression of ponds. Throw in some rose petals and floating candles in the pond.
Instead of placing candles on consoles, lamps can be suspended from from trees.
