Maharaja Sayajirao University in Vadodara has organised an exhibition on Sunday showcasing handicraft, decoration items and clay works of nearly 700 differently abled people from five cities. The exhibits have been received from Ahmedabad, Surat, Anand, Nadiad and Kapadwanj, and the
event, `Prerna 09', is being supported by some local industries.

Income generated through sale of items displayed in the exhibition will be used for the welfare of the disabled people, AR Chudasama, students dean of the Faculty of Technology and Engineering (FTE), MS University, said.

Prof Bhuvan S Parekh, Dean of FTE, said students of the faculty have organised the event to integrate handicapped people into the mainstream of the society.

The event is in its third year and it had been receiving good response from the local industries who have started recruiting differently abled people, Parekh said.
