Indian women's hockey coach MK Kaushik after resigning from his post over sexual allegations against him in New Delhi.
A day after women's hockey coach and Olympian M K Kaushik resigned from his post after sexual harassment allegations, the officials are now looking for a new coach. Kaushik resigned on Wednesday stating that he would not like to continue on his post even if the inquiry committee set up
by Hockey India exonerates him of the charges of sexual harassment levelled against him by a player.

On Wednesday, the women’s hockey team left for Busan, South Korea for the Asian Champions Trophy tournament. But allegations of sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour of officials, surfacing just before their departure, had completely vitiated the atmosphere.

However, Kaushik maintained that player Ranjithan Devi's allegations were baseless and he is confident of coming clean from the inquiry. "How can I work with players in an atmosphere of antagonism when they have doubted my character. I find it hard to believe that these players have also signed the letter," said Kaushik on Wednesday.

The Indian women's team, ranked 13 in the world, is set to take part in the Asian Champions Trophy, in South Korea, from July 27 to 31.
