Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday met President Pratibha Patil and discussed the internal security in the country and the forthcoming SAARC summit meeting in Sri Lanka.
During the meeting, which lasted for 45 minutes, Singh briefed the President about the recent spate of terror
attacks in the country and apprised her about his visit to Ahmedabad on Monday, official sources said.
The Prime Minister also conveyed to her about his visit to Sri Lanka on August two and three to participate in the SAARC summit.
A Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesperson said the President and the Prime Minister discussed issues of national and international importance.
